About Ed Nazarko - One Mountain Photo

I am a freelance photographer living in northern Virginia. I'm fortunate to be able to be a full time photographer some few days a year, but not a day passes without some time spent shooting or processing. In my main life, I'm a technology consultant with over 30 years experience. I love what I do in that part of my life, and I think I'm reasonably good at it.

Almost all my work now is shot digitally. I do still occasionally work with film - 35mm film to 4x5 - and some experimental approaches like pinhole photography or alternative processes. I do all my own printing, with equipment able to make prints up to 44 inches wide and unlimited length. Some of my panoramas are 18 feet long.

I am available for commercial work, subject to the time constraints of photography being my "second life." But, most of my photographic work is for shows and sales as fine art.

My photographs are in several juried group shows every year, and in some years I've had a few individual shows where I had a single body of work. As my focus is fine art, however, I tend to focus most of my efforts on single pieces that speak to the heart and mind.
